learning about life by creating

My name is Pamela, and I have a passion for creating something beautiful that did not exist before, and sharing it with others. When I am creating, I am fully in the moment. I love crafting with words, and working with mixed media and collages. Since I was a young girl, I have been fascinated by the concept of the collage: bringing together otherwise disparate elements into something new and aesthetically pleasing. Learning about life by creating.

It is fall now, and has been for a month, but the weather disproves it. Still, it is the season of pumpkins and falling leaves and soup.

Vanity and Humility

This past week has been a study of Vanity and her poor brother, Humility. But braces are a choice on my part.

Observations on a Monday

Sitting in the backyard in the morning certainly forces attention to the present moment.

Observations on a Sunday

It is so peaceful in the backyard on a Sunday morning.

British Biscuit Blunder

Baking biscuits for a tea party with my daughter was an opportunity that could not be passed up. Or so we thought.

Little Bits of Soul

Sometimes I wonder if I lost myself along the way since becoming a mother.

Top of My Game

The child who could name all the Dragon Tales characters before he was two was having trouble with his color association.

Femininity in Marriage

At this time in my life, I am seeking knowledge about my role as a wife and mother. I am conflicted, and I am searching for the truth.
